Nice looking bag. Has a weakness.
I like this bag. I do. I've used it on a daily basis to carry my laptop since I got it three weeks ago.

However be warned that the buckles on the strap appear frail, and they do not quite hold the strap correctly. The loop which attaches the strap to the bag rotates 90 degrees from its intended orientation and does not hold the strap flat. Also the length adjustment buckle on the strap slips over time.

My 16:10 aspect 15.4 inch laptop just barely fits in the padded compartment. I'm not sure a newer wider 16:9 aspect 15.4 inch laptop would fit. The padding is not very thick, but I'm comfortable with it.

A nice bag for the money. I'll see how long it lasts.

Bookbag
A bit heavy for a bookbag but it works well for the computer. Able to carry it and all peripherals in the same bag and that saves space when traveling.

very nice briefcase
I chose this style instead of the less-expensive McKlein briefcases because I wanted a wider bag. I don't like to carry a purse along with a briefcase--I want everything in one bag--and this is wide enough to put my laptop/books/papers/whatever in the padded side, and bulky items, including a shoulder wallet and toiletries bag, in the other (organizer) side, with the zippered section between. The zippered section fits letter-sized papers but is not quite wide enough for manila folders. But the outside section fits folders, magazines, legal pads, plus tickets or anything else you might need to put your hands on quickly. There are two end pockets with magnetic clasps. They're big enough for a smart phone (plus there's a pocket inside that will also accommodate a smart phone), but they're not big enough for a water bottle. No problem, you can fit a water bottle inside. I shopped on various sites for this bag and some sites mistakenly say it has a removable laptop section. It does not. I...

Unhappy Straps
I was unhappy with the quality of the straps. I carry a lot of paperwork around for work, and I was searching for a bag that could hold up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. The straps on this bag have a thin leather connection at the base of the bag, which I've seen break on other bags I've used. I returned the item to the seller.

I wish the picture could've shown the detail of the straps so that I could evaluate it from online, instead of having to buy and return it.
Stitching is white!
I loved the look of this bag and ordered it in black, but it arrived today and unlike in the picture, the stitching is white. It doesn't look as nice, and I'm debating returning it. As other reviewers noted, though, it is large enough to hold my 13" MacBook Pro in its sleeve with plenty of room, as well as a water bottle and just about anything else I could want in there and seems to be very well-constructed. I'm so disappointed. Look at the McKlein USA Isabella briefcase to see what it will actually look like with the white stitching.

disapointment
i was disappointed.....my 15in. laptop would not fit and zip up. the quality of the product was good but was advertised to fit up to 17in. laptop and wouldn't even accomidate a 15incher. i'll be giving mine away when i find someone who can use it.

Nice Laptop Bag
I've had it a little over a week, and so far I like the bag. I agree with "Fantasy Fiend" in that the style of the bag was a nice balance between the casual nature of a backpack and the stuffy business-like feel of most laptop bags.
I have a 16" widescreen laptop, and it's a perfect fit.
The handle is a little awkward if a laptop is not in the bag, but I intend to keep a laptop in it at most times, plus I don't usually use the handle, I use the shoulder strap. I do wish the shoulder straps had swivels attached to the ends. It seems like everytime I pick it up, I'm having to twist the strap around to make sure it's straight.
I also wish it had at least one small pocket on the outside of the pack..one that you could get to without undoing the two main clasps (for gum, pens, thumb drives, etc). It has a pocket on the back of the bag, but anything you put in that pocket is right between the laptop and the padding designed to protect the bottom of the laptop..I can't...

Looks great, but terribly flawed design.
I really wanted to like this bag, but unfortunately I just can't live with it's many flaws. First, as mentioned by several other reviewers, the handle on the bag is not centered, causing the bag to hang at an unusual and uncomfortable angle when carrying it by the handle. I thought maybe the other reviewers didn't realize it's called a 'messenger' bag because it's supposed to be worn over the shoulder messenger style. What I didn't realize was that when a bag has a handle on it, sometimes you just use it because it's convenient. Like when I'm taking the bag off my shoulder to lay down, I use the handle. However, because the handle is offset, when I try to lay the bag down on it's back side, I have to swing the bag out and plop it down quickly or it tends to want to lay on it's front because of the angle it hangs at. This, by itself, is not completely unacceptable, but this coupled with the lack of padding on the back of the laptop compartment means my laptop is susceptible to damaged...
carrying handle?
The offset placement of the carrying handle helps to balance the bag IF you are also lugging a laptop. Without the laptop in its slot and a few heavy textbooks in their logical place carrying by the handle is quite awkward because the bag is very out-of-balance.Unfortunately use of the shoulder strap does not alleviate the pressing against your lower body.

I am updating my review to report additional consequences of the offset handle. After 5 Months of use the bag is splitting, tearing at the stress point of the imbalance. This bag is misnamed. It is not a messenger bag it is a Laptop-only carrying bag.

LOVE this.
Okay, first things first... I want to straighten out some confusion that I had and am sure others have had. There are two models of bag on this page, and all reviews for BOTH models are lumped together. The PINK bag is made for UP TO a 14 inch Laptop. I have a 13.3 inch Sony Viao, it fits perfectly in the included sleeve, with some room for a couple of notebooks or a small textbook, and a bit of room for accessories. A 14 inch Vaio would NOT fit in this bag well, if at all. This is a wonderful bag with a black/pink color scheme, there is NO purple/plum coloring on this bag. The bag is very well padded, I feel like I could drop the thing on concrete with no damage to the computer inside. It is a little excessive. I am planning on removing the included sleeve for use in my regular backpack, which will also make additional space. I LOVE this bag, it is exactly what I had hoped, and exactly what I wanted.

LOVE IT!
Okay, it is indeed big, but this bag is fabulous and really well made. I've been looking for one I could love that was stylish and functional, a tall order when it comes to women's laptop bags. I'm tired of the black nylon versions that you see everywhere; why can't function and fashion meet? But on this baby the details are beautiful--from the reinforced straps (I bought it to replace my last one from which the straps tore off) to the flat exterior pocket on the back for airline tickets--and as a writer whose laptop is my baby and my livelihood, the egg carton like padding is really appreciated. And personally, I love the plum-colored velvet accents. It is a durable bag in which I fit my camera and peripherals and has a long adjustable strap that I can put diagonally over my shoulders when I'm traveling. This is the bag I've been looking for for a long, long time.

Loved the bag for it's stylish and playful use of vintage fiction. The real plus is how well-made the bag is. The materials and attention to detail are readily apparent. The bag is constructed in a way that it maintains it's shape and does not slump. Decent pockets and compartments. Love it!

Great feminine option
What sets this bag appart from others is its femininity. I have seen many wheeled cases... all of them "luggage looking" in construction... and couldn't bring myself to purchase one. I'm a woman, I have style, I don't want to be lumped with all the men but rather stand out on my own. This bag allows me to do that. It's made of nice quality leather, the stitching is strong, and it holds quite a bit. It's not for those who need to lug a ton, but my 15.4" laptop fits the sleeve (snug, but it does fit), there's room for a few files and my leather portfolio, and in the front area I carry a power cord, extra USB connector, and some basics like pens, extra discs, etc. The detachable wheels are a GREAT idea. It does take a few minutes to remove them and then conceal the open zippers, and it's not the most graceful task, so I'd recommend removing it prior to meeting your clients! Nice classy rolling briefcase!
I am very satisfied with my new briefcase. The outer pocket is large enough for my planner/notes. The large inner pocket fits my laptop in the included protective envelope and fits my power cord, Ethernet Cord, mouse, ipod, and earphones. I put file folders behind the laptop along the back. I can't say this is ROOMY, but it fit all the essentials. It rolls very easily and the back has a pocket so it can be piggy-backed on top of another rolling tote. The handle does stick from time to time going down but no trouble going up and very sturdy.

value and quality
I really like this product. It is nice leather and a good value for the leather. The only complaint is that it would have been nice to have just a little extra room for cable, etc. My computer fits great and it is nice that it is in a sleeve of it's own. I can also fit in a couple of magazines and files, but then there is not much room for power supplies, etc. I would highly recommend it for anyone who doesn't need to have to carry too many documents or extra supplies.

Good looking, leather cracked early
Great looking bag. Perfect for laptop and lots of little pockets inside. The leather on the straps and outside was cracking noticeably within one month. Disappointing.

LOVE this bag!
I have this in black.

Really nice leather. Looks stylish and feminine, and also boardroom-ready. My 17" laptops fit inside fine. Laptop protection is fine. Telescoping handle/wheels work well. A great change from lugging shoulder bags. I love it!

I haven't detached it more than a couple of times. Nice to have that option, especially in stormy weather.

The wheel assembly doesn't add a particularly insane amount of weight. It goes up/down stairs fine in a pinch.

I do not plan take this through airports on a regular basis. The stiff leather seems pretty durable, but more pretty than bulletproof.

Be aware:
- The black one comes w/VERY red piping. The black leather has a matte finish.
- The orange one is CONSTRUCTION ORANGE. This color comes with a lovely pearlescent finish, but it does glow in the dark like a traffic cone. I wish they had gone with more of a blonde/natural leather color.

BRIGHT COLORED ROLLING BEAUTY
I absolutely LOVE this BAG but I agree with C Turner, if you have a lot to carry it won't hold it.

I'm using it for very infrequent trips so it suits a DVD player and movies more than a laptop and all the accoutrement required if you are a heavy duty computer user. IT needs to be wider FRONT to BACK for that. Too much space is wasted at the back where the handle and cute rain cover are.

For plain old travel it is perfect for medicines, slippers, pens, pad of paper and a sandwich.

More so with its STUNNING COLORS, it is just plain pretty! I'm sick to no end of black and browns so this line suits me to a Tee. I like my luggage VISIBLE. That way if someone is running away with it, you can holler, "FOLLOW THE PERSON WITH THE KELLEY GREEN AND ORANGE LUGGAGE!" Orange referring to Titan's x2 suitcase line (sorry bright colors and great interior but not the least bit durable, broke in under one hour! during packing no less).

Beautiful Laptop Bag!
This is a beautiful laptop bag! The first time I used it I felt self-conscious wheeling it along behind me, it's so gorgeous.

The red is a deep, rich color, and the leather is high quality. The bag is very well made. My 16" Toshiba Satellite fits perfectly. There's room for a few miscellaneous items, as well as a couple of files and a notepad, so I was able to stash things in it and not have to bring my purse along too, although it was a snug fit.

It took me a few minutes to figure out how to unzip it from the wheeled platform, but it's actually easy to do. The wheels are smooth and it's easy to maneuver.

I can't think of anything not to like about this bag. I read a lot of reviews before I bought it, and I'm very happy with my purchase.
