Great for MacBookPro 17"
I use this bag for my MacBookPro 17" and I love it. The only downside is the inside pockets. STM made them smaller than the previous version of this bag and now I can't really use them. They're too small for CD's - why do they have to change a good thing? Still, I love this bag.

iLove this bag and so does my iPad ~ ~ ~
Wow, I can't say enough good things about this bag. I wanted a cross-body/shoulder bag to carry my iPad3 when I travel. Most importantly, I wanted one big enough to hold my iPad INSIDE ITS CASE - not naked. Many iPad bags out there will accommodate a naked iPad, but not one inside a case. But this one accomodates my covered iPad nicely, and slides easily in and out of the compartment without too much space left around it - but still snug enough that it doesn't rattle around.

Between the microfiber lining and the outer fabric of the iPad compartment, are two protective layers of high-density foam - strong enough to protect the iPad, but thin enough keep it from being bulky. A layer of foam like this on both the front and back definitely qualifies as serious protection, and you can rest easy that your iPad can survive some bumps or scrapes. Good iPad bag...
I was very selective in choosing this bag. I did a lot of research before deciding to buy it. This bag is perfect size/comfy fit for my iPad (first generation). It has 3 main compartments and has a large flat pocket on the back. The bag is very light and comes with 2 padded handles that make the bag comfortable to carry by hand and a strap with padded shoulder fitting so the bag can be worn around your shoulder. I removed the strap and find the bag is small and light enough to easily carry by hand. The handles also have their own pockets to be tucked in when not being used (smart design). The largest compartment, which holds the iPad or other small electronic devices, is lined with a soft fabric which covers a sturdy foam material inside (smart design) and has 2 zippers on the outside. Extremely useful
I tried several sizes of these by STM to carry my Ipad 2 on an airplane. I have my Ipad 2 in a Yoobao leather case which I like very much. I didn't want to remove it in order to fit in in a case. I wanted the case large enough to carry the essentials when I go through airport security, so it is easy to load and unload everything from one place...liquids, ipad, etc. I also want it to be able to carry my headphones, pen, and a few odds and end. The Stash was the perfect fit for all of this.

I tried the STM Jacket, but it was too small for the Ipad with Yoobao case, and not big enough to fit anything else it....pockets were too tight.

I bought the STASH and easily fits the Ipad 2 with Yoobao leather case. I can fit the liquids in plastic bag in one compartment along with pen, candy, etc. I fit the headphones in the other compartment. It makes it easy to go through airport security, and easy to have all I need while at my seat in the airplane...

Wonderful bag for an iPad
I use an iPad every single day to take notes in class, read journal articles, watch movies, etc. If I'm out of the house, the iPad is with me. So i wanted to get a stylish carrying bag for it and bought this scout.

After using it for 2 weeks I'm very happy with the bag and would recommend it to others provided that you don't expect it to carry your textbooks or other bulky items. Here is what fits in mine comfortably (though anything more and it does start bulging):

-iPad with the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard cover
-Small notepad (large model of the moleskin notebook)
-2 pens, 2 highlighters, iPad stylus
-keys
-iphone / cellphone
-iPad charger, headphones
-misc. thin papers and wallet

If this is all you need, then you'll be fine. If you expect to carry tons of 8.5x11 notebooks or textbooks in this look elsewhere.

This bag has a ton of pros:

for an urban warrior?
I'm not really sure where to start here, so I guess I'll begin with a list. People like lists, right?

Pros:
Fits a 10.1" netbook, AND a small tablet (a kindle touch, in my case).
Barely fits an 11.6" netbook (it sticks out by 1.5", so the internal velcro flap can't be secured).
Lots of organizational options, and the front-most pouch expands pretty far.
Stiff padding and soft lining in the main section, to protect expensive screens.
Sturdy material and seams everywhere.
Very easily adjustable strap length--I can do it one handed.
Swivels at each strap-end, so twists are easy to manage.

Cons:
Shoulder pad is a bit stiff.
The front flap doesn't like to lay flush if there's even the slightest bit of expansion in the front pouch;
this makes the corners poke up and completely ruin the slick aesthetic of the bag.
If you're traveling with any medium sized gadgets (smartphones, game consoles, makeup compact, etc.)...
Ipad has a happy place
There is nothing remarkable about this bad, nor anything extraneous. It is purely functional, and does that job well.
It could be another 2 inches longer, and then it would hold my logitech keyboard better, but I cant complain since that isnt what it was made for.

Wonderful bag for an iPad

This is the one
Ok here is the skinny. I first bought a timbuk2 commute. It was a great bag very well made but for me (looks wise) a little too backpack-y all said though very well made. I did send it back however because I needed it to look a little more professional. Opted for this one.

STM Velo
Pros: very well made, fits my sony viao 15.6. The padding on the computer section is the best I have seen. If I drop the bag I have no fear padding is that good. Lots of space and pockets. The solid black looks a lot more professional (Im using for work) soft lining on an exterior pocket for phone is very nice. Nice divider inside for files and another soft lined compartment for ipad or reader, also I like on the back there is a zipper on the bottom that can open for stacking on other roller luggage, but when not in use that way can double for more file folders as it zips up on the bottom. Padded handle is centered atop the bag so you can carry that way and the weight is evenly distributed...

Exactly as described . . . but better!
This is my first experience with an STM bag, and it won't be my last. Even a cursory inspection of this bag will tell you this is a company that obviously builds quality products: the stitching is superb, the zippers heavy-duty, the strap and handles sturdy and comfortable, the shape deliberate, and every opening constructed with a specific purpose in mind.

I was very impressed with the shape of the main, top opening; it's deceptively wide and constructed with the front of it drooping down so that with only a quick flip of the top flap one can access anything inside it. Though the bag is very light and pliable, and though it doesn't have any stiff pieces of cardboard sewn in (only foam padding), the whole thing--including the main, top opening--has been deliberately created to maintain a very particular shape, one which is conducive for its purpose (to be carried like a messenger would carry it--think Jack Bauer's ever-present carryall).

One thing I really like...
Roomy, light computer bag!
Having used a leather briefcase to carry my digital life with me I ordered this in hopes of having a lighter load. I was not disappointed. It carries everything I had overstuffed into the leather bag and another iPad bag with room left over. And, as anticipated, I had less weight to deal with. The bag appears very sturdy and we'll see how it goes, but I am very pleased with this purchase!

I LOVE THIS BAG
This is probably the best laptop bag I have ever owned. It is the perfect size for my 15 iinch laptop and the sleeve is great. I like that I can carry the sleeve alone and the handles let me attach it to my suitcase from either direction.
The inside lined pocket is perfect for my kindle or my IPad, both fit just fine.
The best feature of this bag is the zipper on the top. It allows access to the whole bag without lifting the flap.
Also, when I ordered the bag I assumed the clips were plastic and I was very happy to see that they are metal.
All in all this is a very usable and sturdy bag.

Bag was different than picture
I ordered the teal and the picture shows a backpack style. It was the messenger back that I received. It's nice and large and I really do like the bag itself because I can fit my 17" laptop inside it. , just not what I was expecting.

I got this bag within two days, as I was a prime member, later I ordered two more of these for my friends,

Excellent bag, with everything as described at the official website, the only thing I didn't liked about this bag is, it's difficult to remove the laptop from the rear zipper,
And sometimes when the bag is full, the bag keeps bouncing against the body due to the walking movement,
rest everything is good, the build quality, colour(it's much better then in the given pictures), the included laptop sleeve is very good and offers better protection compared to other sleeves,

Perfect size for iPad + folder/binder for papers
That's what I was looking for - something to carry my iPad plus a folder or thin binder for papers. With eBooks and other wonders of modern technology, that's all I normally need for the classes I teach these days. But dedicated iPad cases are usually too small for a folder or binder (haven't figured out a way to go *totally* paperless), other laptop bags tend to be bigger and bulkier than I want, and simple messenger bags tend to be flimsy and underpadded. I think this bag - the "Slim" model, "Small" size - nails it. Note the previous reviewer is talking about the "Extra Small" size. I'm sure it probably fits some 11" laptops, if not his/hers in particular. But it is definitely too small for a letter-sized folder or notebook.

Beyond being the perfect size for my needs, the STM Slim/Small also seems very well designed and constructed. The corduroy interior is nice, the exterior pockets useful but unobtrusive. It's almost *too* nice looking, coming off in the...

Awesome bag for a 13" MacBook5,1
Bought this for my unibody MacBook5,1 (MB466). Love the notebook compartment's fleece lining and the panel that keeps the notebook safe from dented corners or zipper scratches. Snug fit for the MacBook, no room for sloppy travel within the compartment.

The easy access cell-phone pocket is neat: my Motorola Atrix 4G fits snugly, and seems like it would take a pretty deliberate effort for it to slide out. The interior also has one wall which is lined with a soft fleece-like panel to keep your phone's screen from getting scratched. I do think this pocket needed some sort of closure system (hook-loop? buttons?), though.

Kind of wish the organization panels were deeper or wider. Would have liked to fit the MB charger in a pouch, though it doesn't quite fit. But the bag looks great, and owes its slim profile to the other integral compact designs.
Perfect for my new 13 inch MacBook Pro!
It's slim and could easily slide into a large tote bag for school, but is sturdy and protective enough to stand on its own. The interior laptop pocket is extremely soft and couldn't possibly scratch anything. The cell phone pocket is perfect for my iphone 5. Love the front pocket. Holds my mouse, external hard drive and power cord perfectly. There's even a little extra room in the main pocket for a little extra, a notebook for instance. I LOVE IT!

Macbook Air Bag
Great bag - Fits MacBook Air 13" perfectly. There is a small insert in the bottom of the bag (extra cushion I assume) that needs to be removed for the best fit but I use that as a wedge at the top of the bag to keep the MBA from moving. I searched all over for a hard sided bag, since I use the Otter Box product for my iPhone and I like that level of protection. I was led to this product after seeing STM's messenger bag but the feedback said it would gap open and let water in and that is obviously not hard sided - Apple never mentioned this case in their website and I had to search STM's to find it. Very heavy duty, strong zippers etc. I also liked that they have a separate bag for accessories so the MBA does not get scratched up and I don't have to lug the accessories around if I don't need them. It comes with a little hook to attach to the main case but I went out and got one of those carabiner clips just because it is easier to take off and on. I've used it for a few months...
