A fantastic bag for daily use or travel!
This is actually a much better bag than the pictures give it credit for. There are actually three zippered areas -- the laptop area, which works great for TSA -- unzip, fold open, and place on the belt -- (this compartment also has has another zippered compartment for a few papers), a center file area (the zippers go halfway down the bag, so nothing will fall out), and an organizational area with a bunch of pockets, some decent space for stuff, another zippered pocket, and the protected cell phone pocket, which is good for that or some small things that you don't want to fall out, since it has a velcroed top. There's an additional zippered pocket on the outside, a pass-through strap to sit on wheelie luggage, and an included cosmetics pouch (that I use for foreign currency). It doesn't store a massive amount of bulky material, but it holds my travel paperwork, my kindle, and my Bose headphones, the crucial stuff for a plane! Nice Bag, but..
This is a great looking bag. Even though i think it looked better in pink, I ended up purchasing the brown bag based on other customers reviews regarding how dirty the bag can get.
I am using this bag for the first time since I purchased it last week and in packing the bag, I discovered a few things that I thought were worth sharing.

1.I was really looking for an everyday bag to replace my existing one that that is falling apart. I really hate carrying multiple bags to work everyday so I always try to find one that is big enough to hold everything I need. Granted, this bag does have many compartments, but the bag has no give at all. Fitting a small purse size umbrella, my laptop, my power cord, and a cosmetics case was actually a challenge to fit in the bag simply because there are no expanders on the bag so everything just gets stuffed into the slim spaces.
2.The bag alone weights 3.2 lbs, which doesn't sound like much, but it is actually quite heavy for a bag...
Great briefcase
I was originally worried about ordering this because the pictures don't show the case opening flat, but i assure you it does. The convenience of not having to remove the laptop through security is just amazing. I am through the line in no time, and I don't have to worry any more about getting my laptop confused with someone else's.

terrific airport bag
Judging by the looks I was getting at the airport, this is a must-have bag. After standing there for ages watching everyone unpack their laptop bags into those plastic bins, I was able to unzip one zipper, lay the bag flat on the belt and walk through the scanner. Pick up the bag, give it a zip and walk off while the people who were in front of me are still repacking. One man caught up with me and asked where I bought this bag. A million pockets (that's almost true!) and three compartments will hold everything. I didn't bother with a purse - I just put my things into this bag because I had room to spare. Love the green - so rich and pretty. But easily gender neutral.

Good bag
I like this bag, it is of excellent quality, has lots of compartments, and is very pretty. These are the few things I do not like about it: 1) It has an ugly pink, white, and black ScanFast logo stitched onto the reverse side of the bag that does not come off. 2) The strap fasteners are not centered so when the bag is carried on the shoulder it leans to one side. My family tells me that's no big deal because you simply make it lean into your body instead of away, but it still annoys me. 3) It smells bad and after a few weeks of airing it out I can still smell it a bit. Hopefully soon the smell will completely fade away. Despite those 3 annoyances, I still consider it a good bag.
Best travel purchase I've made in a long time!
Excellent product! Extremely well made, wonderful organization and fits handily beneath airline seats. TSA inspection was a breeze on my recent trip from Wisconsin to Hawaii (involving 5 different airports and 3 security checks). All this and tastefully stylish to boot!

Awesome laptop bag with style!
This backpack/laptop bag is awesome! Light weight and room for lots of stuff in addition to the laptop. It says that it fits a 15.4" laptop but my 16" widescreen fits without a problem, and I am sure a 17" widescreen would fit in it too. The bag itself is very lightweight so to carry it with a laptop isn't a chore! I wanted a bag for my laptop that not only carried the laptop and other stuff, but looked good too, and this one delivers the whole package. Also, the fact that it is a checkpoint friendly backpack, meaning you don't have to unpack your laptop at the airport checkpoints is really cool. Just unzip the bag, lay it flat and through the scanner it goes. Makes getting through the checkpoints with a laptop so much easier and faster.

Hard to find perfect backpack for petite working women
I am 5'2" and am always dragging around enormous bags for all my work stuff. Hard to keep up with people at the airport. LOVE this bag; doesn't look bulky, holds all my stuff without looking overstuffed, and very comfortable on my back. Leaves hands free for other things (like Starbucks). Awesome!!!
Backpack for Women
The Amazon description should have said that this Mobile Edge model is designed for women. I am petite and found that the straps stayed on my shoulders much better than previous laptop backpacks I have owned. It also seemed lighter to carry even though I had more in it than in the backback I had been using. The ScanFast feature worked great -- I just unzipped the compartment and was not asked to remove the laptop at the airport checkpoints. Note - this backpack does not have a water bottle holder or a waist strap.

Almost Perfect
It's almost perfect; it folds out easily, and still has storage room for personal items and files. It even has a strap to slip over the handle of wheeled luggage. It would be nicer if the side pocket for small items like phone, etc. was a little bigger. But my biggest complaint is more trivial; it only comes in black. I know mobile edge makes other products that come in other colors and patterns, but not this model, and frankly, black is boring and I'd prefer something that stood out a little more.

Perfect for getting rhough security quickly
I had my doubt about what time it would really save to be able to leave my laptop in the briefcase, but it really does. It's so cool to just be able to unzip the briefcase and send it on through, on the other end I just have to worry about my shoes and zipping the bad up once again. No more worries about leaving anything behind. I am loving it.
Airport-friendly
Extremely pleased with this purchase. The bag is attractive and fully functional, on all counts. Perfect features for the laptop, as well as additional features for other, personal items. Love the Look, But Not 100% Happy With Quality
I bought the green (olive) version of the bag on Amazon for $139.99.

First the pros:
* Fast service from the vendor.
* Cute detailing, especially the fabric on the inside.
* Great to finally have a functional bag that is also stylish and unique looking.
* Lots of pockets and compartments.
* Makes most of my TSA scans faster so far.
* The bottom corners have a subtle plastic reinforcement to help with wear.

Then the cons:
* The top corners do not have the plastic reinforcement, so the pleather trim has peeled off after 5 flight legs. I'm sure this is from rubbing in the overhead bins.
* I paid 139.99, and it is now only $65.99 within only about 3 weeks - good for you, but bad for me. I would have felt better about my corners rubbing off if it were a $65 bag. I guess that's the fee for being an early adopter.
* Inside, it is labeled "Checkpoint Friendly" where the laptop slides in. The "Y" on Friendly already rubbed...

works great but gets very grimy
This bag has worked very well for my daily commute into office and monthly air travel. I never check anything so I stick my ziploc bag of toiletries with my laptop and then just unzip and stick ziploc bag into separate bin. Security at the airport is a breeze!

My only complaint is that the bag picks up and shows a lot of grease and dirt from the conveyor belts and it's been difficult to get it out. If I had to repeat, I would buy a darker bag in a material that is easier to clean.
Happy but could be better
I love the color (pink and chocolate) and there are many compartments to store additional electronics or paper work, but this case is too easy to stain. Also its very difficult to remove the stain without lifting the color and creating a new stain. I wish it was stain resistent or some treatment options could be provided.
